Spell checking
Niki supports spell checking.
Spell checking is supported by the binary version of Niki. If you are the source version of Niki see NikiInstall. If you are using 64-bit libraries spelling may not supported.
The speller needs the GNU aspell dictionaries installed. If there are no dictionaries installed the <Spell> button will not be shown. See NikiInstall.
enables / disables spell checking.
describes the current language and opens the LanguageSelection menu.

The spell checker tries to determine the language of the Niki and checks the spelling. Misspelled words are highlighted red.
You can force the language of a Niki using the formatter
If you insert more than one formatter the last one will be used.

In most cases they are like
en, en_GB, en_US, de, de_DE, fr or fr_FR
Spelling a word
Putting the mouse over a word and clicking the left mouse button while pressing the <Shift> key (<Shift>+<Mouse 1>) opens the SpellSuggestion menu.
