NikiLinks

The blue NikiLinks refer to other Nikis. The green ExternalLinks refer to other documents.

Hint: stricken-through NikiLinks refer to not existing Nikis. Clicking these links the editor opens. On the other hand, a normal link does not imply that it exists.

NikiLinks are represented by NikiWord's. Simple NikiWord's are words starting with an uppercase letter and containing a lower case letter followed by an uppercase.

A NikiLink can include a path like path_to/NikiWord. Pay attention there is no extension .niki.

Complex NikiLinks

Complex NikiLinks are in [ ]. The first version includes only the link: [ path_to_the_Niki.niki ] . The complex version includes in addition a text to be shown [ path/Niki.niki [ the text to be shown ] ]:

   [Nikifile.niki]
   [../path/Nikifile.niki]
   [path/Nikifile.niki [text to be shown]]

The example:

[NikiHelp.niki [link back to Nikis help] ]

yields link back to Nikis help.

Internal NikiLinks

You can define marks in a Niki using the format ##Mark. Marks can be inserted into NikiParagraph's, NikiHeadline's and NikiImage's. A link to an internal mark is local:Mark. Links to internal marks work only in the Niki itself.

Locating NikiLinks

NikiLinks are use as they are. The type .niki is appended if needed.

Relative Nikis are searched first in the path of the current Niki. Then they are searched in the subdirectories. Finally they are searched in the parent directories down to the root /. If the path of the Niki is present, it it is used.
