Niki comes in a single executable file. Is contains the documentation too. Download Niki using <Save link at> Niki and then make it executable and call:

   chmod +x Niki
   Niki

Source version of Niki

Niki is Perl/Tk. Pay attention you'll need some perl packages from CPAN.

Niki uses Perl/Tk 804.027. Using Perl/Tk 800.024 or 800.25, utft8 and spell checking is not supported.

Run

   Niki/used_modules

checks your system.

The Modules required are in PerlModules and RpmSuSE9_3 .

The Niki source is Niki.tgz. Read NikiSource.

Unpack Niki.tgz into a new directory. It creates the directories Tk, HTML, Niki and icons. Run Niki:

   Niki/Niki Niki/Doc/NikiHelp.niki

If Niki runs you can install it:

   perl Makefile.Pl
   make
   su
       make install
