This is the integrated help - a
simple browser. Use the button
or the <F1> key to open the help dialog in a new
window.
Setting up KaTeker simply follow the highlighted
buttons
and
and the upcoming dialogs.
Finally save
the settings, close
the setup dialog and create the master

The
button
cancels KaTeker, buttons
iconify a dialog.
You can set up KaTeker manually but this is not recommended. Depending on the settings, some dialogs are disabled.
Set the Save name if not suggested.
Select the Save root if not suggested.
Set the Save root if not suggested.
Set the Create root if not suggested.
Select the archiver program if not suggested.
The "Setup->Recorder"
dialog will be raised.
If you got no CDR(W) recorder or
want not to use it click the <Use no CDR recorder device>
button.
Check the suggestions of the CDR(W) recorder and
Set CDR recorder device.
If you got no access to a recorder there
is a special setup dialog.
Automatic definition of the backup sets. The data on the system, if running as root, or the users home directory is analysed. This can take up to some minutes depending on the size of the file system.
The backup set(s) are
generated. There are thee backup sets for root.
SYSTEM saves
the most important system data in /etc /usr /var ...
SRV saves
the server data in /srv.
HOME saves the users data in
/home.
Select a backup set and use the <Change>
button to open a dialog showing the data saved in the backup set.
Use this dialog to change the directories/files saved in the backup
set. The "Setup->Sets"
dialog offers further operations to change the backup set.
Save the settings using the highlighted <Save
configuration>
button and close the Setup dialog using the <Close>
button.
In the KaTeker window the "Master"
dialog will be raised. Create the master using the <Master>
button.
