Select CDRW : select a CDRW
This screen shot of the Master/Update dialog shows the state when the update data was saved onto the CDRW_1. This is simply clicking the <Update onto CDRW> button. But the button will be enabled only if a CDRW is selected. A CDRW can be selected in a dialog coming up when the <Select CDRW> button is clicked. Then a confirmation dialog comes up.
The Master could be saved on CDRW_1 too. Then the update data on CDRW_1 would be loosed. The CDRW would change the type of contents from 'updated' to 'mastered'. A confirmation dialog will come up if the type of a CDRW is changed.
There is a difference between a CDR and CDRW that is more than rewritable or not. CDRs are 'multiple' and CDRWs are 'flexible'. Multiple CDRs can hold data larger the the size of a CDR. Multiple CDRs will be used. CDRWs can hold only data of size less than the size of the CDRW. Flexible media are interchangeable. If there are several CDRW media defined any CDRW media would be accepted to save data. This behavior is restricted to backup jobs saving update data onto CDRWs. Using the KaTeker GUI tkateker only the selected CDRW will be accepted.
