Buttons

Cache CD : cache the contents of the data saved on a CD
Forget CD : forget cached contents of the CD and delete it in the list of defined CD
Restore CD : restore the data of the CD into the master or updated
Check CD : check a CD try to read it
Clear CD : clear (blank) a CD
Print contents : generate a CD label with the contents listed
Print label : generate a CD label
Edit CD : edit the CD description - temporary
Order new first : choose the order of the list
unique or
multiple or
flexible : the type of the CD

Typical CDs

The screen shot of this dialog show the first Master CD created. The Buttons will be explained later.

The list shows the fist media. It is name CD_.... is generated automatically. The ..#1 is because CDs are multiple. If the data saved does not fit onto one CD there will be more numbers. This is because CDs a and CDRs are multiple.

Its size and date when the data was saved, the type of data saved, the name of the backup set is shown. The column state may show, that the data on the CD is erroneous. The column temporary may be changed by the user. Simply click into the field of the CD in the column temporary - 'First Master' in the screen shot - and the information label dialog comes up. There is an other entry you can change in the information label dialog.

Button <Print contents label> is deactivated. This is because there is no print program for the CD label selected. Use the Setup->CD dialog to select a print program. The other Buttons will be explained later.

Blanking CDs

Blanking CDs is useful when CDRW are used to save data but they shell be treated as (multiple) CD. The <Clear CD> button is only available if the CDR(W) recorder supports CDRW. Using this button a CDRW can be blanked. If a CD in the list is selected it will be removed from the list.
