KaTeker Running form Source Code

KaTeker is written in Perl and Perl/Tk and can run from source code.

It is only necessary to unpack the source of KaTeker in a directory and the required Perl modules and other software required.

Run KaTeker from the directory just below KaTeker/ :

   KaTeker/tkateker.pl --run_local

   KaTeker/backup_system.pl --run_local

The integrated help pages are not linked correctly. The navigation buttons of the integrated help will not work.

Please note that the corrected perl modules shipped with KaTaker are not included when the option --run_local is not present or not the first option.

Instant running KaTeker from source code

If both, the binary version of KaTeker and the source code are installed but not the perl modules required by KaTeker, the source code can be executed:

   cd KaTeker_Source_RELEASE_xxxx
   /usr/local/bin/tkateker --run_local

It is important that you actual directory is the root of KaTeker's source – just below KaTeker/ .
