KaTeker Need some help

Checking cdrecord on your system

KaTeker uses Jörg Schillings cdrecord to save backup data onto CDR(W). Unfortunately the versions of cdrecord and the versions provided by SuSE change its output when analyzing the system and searching for CDR, CDRW, and DVD devices.

If KaTeker has problems to detect your CDR(W) device, run the commands and mail the result to kateker@dr-kuhlmann-software.de .

If you installed cdrecord, run the following commands please:

   cdrecord –version > cdrecord.txt 2>&1
   cdrecord -scanbus >> cdrecord.txt 2>&1
   cdrecord -dev=ATAPI -scanbus >> cdrecord.txt 2>&1
   cdrecord -dev=ATA -scanbus >> cdrecord.txt 2>&1

If you are familiar with cdrecord and know YOUR_CDR_DEVICE (like 1.0.0 , ATA:1.0.0 , or ATAPI:1.0.0) run

   cdrecord -dev=YOUR_CDR_DEVICE -checkdrive >> cdrecord.txt 2>&1

please.

Finally mail the file cdrecord.txt to kateker@dr-kuhlmann-software.de .
