In the installation directory KaTeker_xxx/ is the installation program pack_KaTeker creates the binary tarball KaTeker_RELEASE_xxx.tgz . Simply run in the directory KaTeker_xxx/ 

   pack_KaTeker

This creates the tarball KaTeker_RELEASE_xxx.tgz
