The change entry dialogs come up when a directory/file shall be includes/excludes into a backup set. They depend on the state of the parent of the directory/file to change. The dialogs shown here are only a selection of the dialogs.
The dialog shows the actual state of the directory or file and its size if known. This value is the real size - not the compressed size - of the archive of the directory or file. If it is a directory the size of any files excluded is not included in the size of the archive, of course. If the size is not given and you need this value click the <Analyze> button and it will be calculated. Please note that this my take up to some minutes depending on the contents of the directory.
It is possible to select whether the directory/file should be included or excluded in the backup set. The options offered depend on the state of the parent directory. Therefore it may be necessary to change the state of the patent directory previously.
All changes are effective immediately when the <Ok> button is clicked.
If the archive of a directory is to large, it can be split up into subarchives using the <Ok split> button. The changes of the state are accepted and then the directory split.
Furthermore it is possible to analyze a directory for problems and or its size using the <Analyze> button. The the directory and its subdirectories are analyzed whether all files are accessible or readable. Changes in the state are ignored.

If the following dialog describes a special situation. Because of the structure of the backup sets it is not possible to change the state of a directory/file that is included/excluded implicitly. You have to include/exclude the parent directory previously.
