The left list 'Defined backup sets' shows the backup sets defined. Click an entry to select the backup set.
The left list is part of the taps of the "Groups of backup sets" notebook. There is a list for each tap. The entries are backup sets assigned to the selected group.
The backup set groups put some backup sets together. This is useful when not all backup sets are to be be saved onto media and/or mastered. There settings are effective at the <Master> and <Update> dialogs. They define the standard usage and behavior of the jobs. The dialog <Archive> can be used to master, update and save a distinct backup set.
The Standard group are those backup sets which are mastered or updated when a master or update is invoked either by a backup job or by the <Update->Update> or <Master->Master> button.
The backup sets of the Master group are those which master will be saved onto media, I.e. only the backup sets in this grou will be saved onto a media (CDR, CDRW). Please note that saving update archives is not affected by this group. If you want to save some of the backup sets onto media when saving update archives, remove them from this group. You have not to change the list of the media. Furthermore the "Archive" dialog can be helpful.
Only the backup sets of the CDR group are saved onto a CDR. When a master is saved the backup sets which are in the Master group and this group will be saved.
Only the backup sets of the CDRW group are saved onto a CDRW. When a master is saved the backup sets which are in the Master group and this group will be saved.
To change a group:
select a group by clicking onto a tap in the second row.
select a backup set in the list of defined or the list of associated backup sets and hit one of the four buttons.
Finally hit the <Save configuration> button and save your settings.
The example shows that all backup sets are in then Standard group. That is all backup sets will be mastered or updated by default.
