If you apply or install the software you accept the disclaimer.
KaTeker is a backup tool intended to save data up to some GByte. The data will be saved onto hard disk and then onto CDs, DVDs or other random access media. It is not intended to save data onto sequential media like tapes. KaTeker is designed to simplify the standard jobs of saving and restoring data. Backup jobs can be started automatically or manually. KaTeker provides a GUI and a command line interface.
KaTeker uses the standard Linux tools tar, cdrecord and dar if available. The backup data can be used without KaTeker. This is an important aspect when a system crashed and has be restored from bottom up. Furthermore the tar or dar archives are located in a directory tree similar to the data saved. The names of the archives describe the data in the archive.
KaTeker includes cdlabelgen from http://www.aczone.com/tools/cdinsert/#download.
KaTeker comes as a gzipped tarball.
Before you download and install KaTeker you should read the requirements on your system.
KaTeker can be downloaded at Download.html.
There is a quick start instruction.
For those which got no time :-) it is possible to run KaTeker out of the box.
